On this page I will tell a little bit about myself, who I am and how I started with my dogs for those who are interested. My name is Ulrika Zetterfeldt and I am working at the Financial Department at STIGA Sports AB in Eskilstuna, where I also live. I have a Master of Sience in Bussiness Administration and also a Master of Social Sience in Information Systems.

My interest for dogs started when I turned 12 years and got my first dog, Tess (Okej's Hot Twilight). She was bought as a pet and in the beginning I had no intention to participate in any competitions with her. Altough, Tess breeder entered Tess for some shows and then everything started. Both me and my parents found this to be interesting and over the years we took part in dogshows as well as obedience competitions. We also trained her in the field and she liked agility a lot. My interest for the Golden Retriever breed arouse more and more and in 1996 we got in touch with Henric Fryckstrand of the famous Dewmist kennel. The same year, Robin (Dewmist Royal Shade) moved into our house. He did not found shows to be so fun but instead, he enjoyed the field training a lot. We took part in a lot of hunting courses and trained a lot and because of him I understood what characteristics a golden retriever is supposed to have and what the purpose for the breed is.

In 1999 Siesta (Ch Dewmist Silverinda) came to live with us and she met more than all the expectations I ever had. Over the years she has had a fantastic career in the showrings, she is a champion in four different countries, was the top winning golden retriever female in Sweden in 2004 and became a International Show Champion at the age of 10. During my summer holidays as a teenager I got the opportunity to stay at Henrics place and help out with his dogs where I learned a lot. In 2001 I travelled, togheter with Siesta, to the Kyon kennels in Canada. There I had a great year and learned a lot of the breed and breeding. I also got the possibility to go to a lot of dog shows togheter with a professional handler and helped out showing the dogs. I brought all this knowledge with me home to Sweden and in the later years I am showing both my own dogs as well as my friends. In 2008 I had the priviledge to show Ch Dewmist Leading Lady at the famous Crufts show in England. She got the CC and Best Bitch, being the first overseas Golden Retriever ever to win a CC at Crufts!

Now, in 2010, Siestas daughter Shelbie (Ch Silversign Style'n Class) has made us proud being the top winning Golden female in Sweden 2009 and was recently also crowned in Norway as a champion. Two lovely youngsters are the latest newcomers to the Silversign team, Dewmist Glitterato and his sister Dewmist Glitterinda. We are very grateful to Henric for letting this youngsters come to us!
